Copart auction price vs final cost

Hey everyone! I’m seeing a lot of Copart listings with really low winning bids, but people keep saying the final cost ends up way higher. I’m wondering how much extra I should expect on top of a winning bid. Is there a good way to estimate that in advance?

That’s a really common trap — the bid might look sweet at $3,500, but by the time Copart adds their fees, you could be paying over $4,500. I’ve been using the Copart fees calculator https://autoconduct.com/tools/copart-fee-calculator/ from AutoConduct, and it’s the only tool I’ve found that breaks it all down clearly. You just input the bid amount, select vehicle type, and payment style, and it shows your total with all Copart auction fees included. That way, you’re not guessing — you know exactly what your final cost will be before placing a bid. AutoConduct's calculator even reflects the updated 2026 Copart fee structure, which is great for staying accurate. Honestly, if you’re trying to avoid nasty surprises, that calculator is the best way to go.
